Let me start by saying that this shoe is not from the Razor lineup…and I love it for that. I had some hesitations when I first tried the Persistence on but those were quickly left at the door once I got going. Skechers really focused on the step in comfort with this shoe and it shows. It is super comfortable on the foot when it is first put on. I had some reservations about the new Arch Fit insole (admittedly I have somewhat lower arches) but when I started running, the Arch Fit gave way and never rubbed my midfoot area.
The comfort level on the midsole foam is amazing! I recently took these shoes out for a 2 hour run and afterward my legs hardly felt beat up like is the case with some other brands. The foam is super supportive albeit lacking the quick, snappy roll off of some of the Hyperburst models. With that said, the addition of the carbon plate definitely helps to speed up the toe off and not leave my feet like they are being “Bogged down” in super cushy foam.
I hope people are able to look past the rather simple appearance of the Persistence and discover how great of a shoe it really is. This has been my go to for daily miles up to long runs. It wouldn’t be my first choice for tempo or speed work but I still had no problem running 5K/10K pace in these.

Great running shoe both for outdoor or treadmill. You can slightly feel the arch support but its really comfortable. The Goodyear rubber outsole should be adding durability and extra miles
