I purchased this shoe last year and this is NOT the same shoe! The black shoe in the photo has felt and there is no felt on this pair. Ordered a 2nd pair this year thinking my first returned order was just an error. I do like the look of the shoe without the felt but the problem is the 50172 Downforce has changed since last years purchased and is now very uncomfortable with no cushioning. Very disappointed in what Sketchers has done to make a good pair of shoes unwearable.

I bought these for my husband and he loved the way they looked and felt. He hasn’t worn them outdoors yet though, but going by my own experience with Skechers’s brand I know he will live in them once he does!

I’ve worn these shoes under about all conditions and they are the most durable shoe I’ve ever had. They also have great arch that you can count on when having to walk all day. I’m retiring the pair that I’ve had for 2 years as yard shoes and getting a new pair for daily wear. Good stuff for the loot.

Bought these to hike on the Appalachian Trail. They have good hard treads that wear pretty well, offer some foot protection, and are knobby enough to grip wet rocks. I traveled 200 miles and could have probably gotten another one or two hundred more out of them before replacement; I’m 150lbs. and was carrying another 20lbs. on my back. Also this section was through PA so it was really rocky. Friendlier trail terrain would probably let you put another couple hundred miles on them. For the price these are great trail runners.

After a long debate on what shoe I would order, I at first thought I was settling for the Skechers Energy – Downforce. Zappos sent out my order and within a few days, I had my shoes. At first survey, I thought the shoes looked pretty stylish. I slipped on the left than right shoe, they seemed to just blend with my black jeans I had on at the time. I had plenty of room around my toes, instep, and a snug fit with my heel – holding my foot in place without any discomfort. Overall, I really like wearing these shoes and will most likely purchase the other color to wear with my Khakis. Great service from Zappos. I am convinced that Zappos is the way to go.

This is my second pair of these shoes and they fit just as great as the first. They are comfortable and last quite a long time. It is difficult for me to find comfortable shoes and I was happy to see that Zappos carried this style and in my size!

I have been wearing these and a couple of other styles of Skechers for years. I receive them for Christmas each year as a gift, and they generally last me the entire year, depending on my level of activity. The last 2 pairs I received have blown out in the toe area {same location each time} and had to be replaced, at my cost. The first pair after only a month and the second after 5 months. I thought perhaps, it was just a bad pair after the first one, and bought a second pair, because they are the shoes I enjoy, as I have a wide foot, and these have always fit comfortably, in the wide size you provide. But, now after yet another pair blowing out in the same spot, I am concerned about the quality of the shoes, as I am a Diabetic and foot care is of utmost importance. I would love to remain with Skechers, as they are my favorite brand, but may be forced to seek another brand if this quality issue is not resolved. As for the following question, I would not recommend these, unless the quality changes.

I bought a pair of these shoes after trying many others as they were the most comfortable and had the best looking appearance. They were very comfortable and I wore them to work every day. Unfortunately after only 2 months the left side of the toe on the right shoe started to seperate from the sole (and within another month the left shoe did the same thing). After 2 months of wearing them everyday and no longer having the receipt I could not return or exchange them. I decided to continue wearing them until they became completely unusable to try and get my moneys worth out of them. Anonther mont later now, 4 months since purchase, and they are seperating from the soles on all sides of the shoe and becoming totally useless. Going to have to replace them this weekend. I was very disappointed as I felt the Skecher brand would be more reliable and better quality than this.

I purchased these in July of 2014, my second pair of this style. Like them for the comfort but on both pair the suede material on both feet has peeled off across the big toe area. Hope to get a message to Sketchers to let them know. I would not buy another pair after having two pair do the same thing. First pair was purchased at a local store, second from Zappos.
