I needed a pair of comfy, waterproof or water repellant hiking shoes. All-day comfort and support were top priorities. I really liked the look of these, but I was skeptical because of the high top; I’ve never been able to wear that style because it was always too stiff and hurt my ankles. The fabric collar on these looked pretty soft, though, so when they went on sale, I finally ordered them. I’m so glad I did! They were super comfortable right out of the box–no break-in needed. And that collar is great. These shoes are very lightweight, soft, with a nice roomy toe box and grippy sole. The memory foam insole is soft and pretty supportive, though I ordered a half-size up so I can use my orthotics if I need a bit more arch support. I took them for a spin immediately, and walked 2 miles with no problems at all. They’re great for wet weather, and look really cute, too. They’ve become a staple pretty quickly. This is my first pair of Sketchers, and I’m very happy with my purchase. Transaction and delivery were smooth. Would definitely recommend!

I received these today and intend to use them for hiking. I tried them on and have been wearing them for several hours. They are extremely comfortable, and they don’t need any breaking in time at all. The sole is rugged and grips well. Looking forward to hiking in the mountains with them. I also like that they don’t make my feet look huge, and they have have a soft support at the ankles.

I LOVE these shoes! I just bought them today and fell in love with them at the store because they were so comfortable. At home now and I’m already calling these one of my favorite pairs of shoes! I didn’t even notice they were water repellant until I got home and that is just an added plus! I was looking for brown booties that I could wear during the rainy weather and also during the winter. I was looking for something functional yet stylish and these are lightweight (not heavy like other boots), soft/spring to the bottom of the shoe (not a hard bottom since those will hurt my back), comfortable, stylish, and warm! I am so excited to wear these in the rain and during winter this season. I bought the 7.5, most shoes I typically wear a 7 and every now and then an 8, depending on the shoe.

nice looking boot. Liked the cloth-fiber ankle area. No digging into my ankle area with stiff leather. Normally wear a size 7 in most shoes, but these were tight (half size) in toe area while wearing a light wool sock. Otherwise, cute chukka boot!

I have worn them a few times since receiving when the temperature dropped some. There was no break in time needed. They are extremely lightweight although they look heavy. I have heavier Skechers sneakers than these. Have not hiked in them yet which was part of my reason for purchasing. However great tread on these so I imagine they will be great for that as well. I have had two ankle surgeries so I normally cannot wear this type of boot due to the irritation from the screws and hardware in the ankle. However these do not cause any discomfort whatsoever. They are also very cool looking..look better than the pics online even. I got them on sale which was great but would pay full price for another pair.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 in shoes but always order a 9 in boots so that I can wear warm socks. I have bunions plus a taylor’s bunion on one foot. The size 9 fit nicely through the foot. The material is soft and comfortable. Over all boot is light weight. The only reason I sent these back is because the top hit my ankle at a place that did not feel comfortable. I tend to have chubby ankles. I would recommend that you give them a try. I like Sketchers and tend to purchase the shoes before any other brand.
