Warning, This boot is not meant to be worn for anything other than walking. Refrain from brushing this against any rigid surface. It has no durability whatsoever. I used it for 1 day on my motorcycle and the leather on the top portion of the boot pretty much disintegrated. Leftover ‘leather’ was a sticky particulate residue from brushing against rubber shift lever. I contacted sketchers directly and was told this is a “lifestyle casual boot”.

I loved these boots when I first got them. They fit perfectly and looked great.
Only a few weeks in things started to crack, however, when one of the pull loops tore nearly in half. Now at barely a year old almost all of the eyelets have bent or kinked revealing sharp edges that saw through shoelaces at the rate of one pair every 4 months or so. Now one eyelet has come loose from the leather entirely effectively ending the useful life of these boots.
Disappointing build quality from what traditionally has been a high quality company.

My first Zappos purchase — and I’m hooked. Service is great, shoes were perfect. If my shopping experience could be like this everywhere, I’d be a happy camper. (Sadly, it’s not like this almost anywhere!) By the way — the shoes are great. Bought them for Burning Man. They were ideal.

This is the fourth or fifth pair of Pilots I have owned over many years. I love the style, they’re extremely comfortable and worth every penny. They last forever, too. The only reason I’ve bought as many pairs as I have is because I wear them all the time. Get ’em!

I purchased for the purpose of wearing wile riding my Triumph Motorcycle. The fit great. Light on the feet. Have only wore them a few times, but work well for shifting and breaking. They look nice with boot cut jeans. I would recommend them for a decent biker boot.

Zappos provides excellent customer service. There was a mistake with my first order so I received a huge discount when purchasing these shoes. I was worried about ordering wide shoes online but I googled for the measurements of the shoe and took a chance, they fit perfectly. Every manufacturer has a different measurement for what they consider “wide” or “double wide” so all you should do is get the exact measurement in inches (usually from the manufacturer’s website) so that you can know exactly how wide or long it will be.
I am 100% satisfied with this purpose. Well built, comfortable fit. Zappos rocks!

I have used these as biker boots and are wide enough for me and have great soles. Although my boots are now seven years old they have not been used much as the soles are in good condition but the leather is really garbage. AT this point it is totally like alligator skin and chipping off the underlying material as this is bonded leather. Good boot with garbage leather.

So, I don’t ride a motorcycle – I mostly just walk around and stuff. This will be my second pair – the first one lasted 3 years, and I’m only replacing them because I got paint on the last pair :). They’re comfortable, look great, and are durable for standard everyday wear/light hiking.

Excellent quality boot. They are very sturdy. I wear them when I cut my grass and other yard work . This is my second pair. The first pair lasted 4 years. I recommend them. I wear them even though I’m female. I adjust the size to fit.
There is no arch support so I inserted one.

My 12 year old was a size 7.5 three months ago and now wears an 8, so we ordered these in 8.5 in hopes he can wear them for more than ten minutes before another growth spurt and they seem just right with thick socks, and he should be able to get a thin sock period out of them next.
